Our commitment is to create thought leadership with a deep understanding of various business models and their myriad complexities. Such thoughtful and diligent actions have paved the way for producing excellent academic results, including a few university ranks during multiple years, coupled with their ongoing performance in the corporate / business assignments.

The MBA programme structure contains a compulsory set of core courses covering all foundation areas in management that build a holistic general management perspective, and a set of elective courses with a functional and domain thrust aimed at building job specific skills and knowledge in the chosen area of specialization. The MBA programme offers students the freedom to select courses of their choice from a wide variety of electives to suit their individual preferences. A Specialized MBA provides in-depth subject knowledge with a practical approach resulting in a graduate who is business-ready.

An array of add-on courses on Digital Marketing, Office Tools, English Language proficiency (IELTS), etc. are designed and offered to enhance our students’ expertise and broaden their horizons, ensuring they graduate not only as competent business leaders but as versatile and industry relevant professionals

The academic year commences during August/September. Regular classes are held between 10am and 3:30pm from Monday to Friday. The learning programme encompasses written assignments, individual & group presentations, internal class tests, university examinations and course viva-voce, in each semester. Visits to industries and lectures lead by guest / industry experts also contribute to the overall value.

As per the MG University regulations, students are required to undertake a summer internship in an industrial organisation (during the second / third semester) and a problem-centred research project in an industrial organisation or sector (during the final semester), based on the guidance provided by a faculty member. MBA programme has both internal and external viva-voce in each semester that test the knowledge and understanding of students in the theoretical concepts and the projects.

MBA Course
Framework

There are 18 core subjects in the MBA programme spread across four semesters, and 8 elective subjects scheduled in the third and fourth semesters. Core papers provide multi-disciplined domain knowledge and skills at the basic and working level to the candidates whereas the elective papers ( 2 papers per specialisation stream per semester) are chosen by students based on their preference, aptitude, job market opportunities, etc.

Specialization Options

While the first year provides a solid footing to students in the basics of business and its related disciplines, the second year offers the opportunity to specialize in any two fields (dual specialisation) of their choice from among Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Information Systems and International Business.
